Survival

Perhaps one of the reasons why I always get angry when people start talking about the law of the jungle and the survival of the fittest is because, well, I know I'll still be stnading. And I'm damn, damn tired of being a survivor.

Some days, I just want to be able to curl up and SCREAM. It's not enough to survive, you need to do more than that... and I can't all to often. All too often, I'm just... there. Able to exist from moment to moment, grasping at moments of joy but always having them slip through my fingers.

And always, always pushing onwards, never being able to just stop or curl up. Because, hey, I'm the survivor. I'm not the leader, the preacher or the healer. I'm just the guy who is still standing when it's all over.

Gods, I'm tired.
